When I created the Civic Tech Collective, my mission was to chronicle the lives of founders who have devoted their careers to developing tech-enabled products that actively enhance the relationship between constituents and the government; and demonstrate an overall value of tech for good.
This idea grew into a podcast, weekly radio show, and digital publication introducing the world to leaders in civic technology and related academic disciplines. I am and will always be committed to amplifying the efforts of people solving real-life issues in communities, globally, through technology.
Like many fledgling entrepreneurs, I had an idea and wanted to see it manifest into something that would be impactful and feed my passion for media, technology, and social good. I have been able to achieve this goal, but like many things in life, our vision and reality often differ. This is often a blessing in disguise, one that I welcome into the next chapter of my life and professional endeavors.
The Civic Tech Collective was a labor of love; one that taught me valuable lessons in growing and sustaining a business. Thank you to everyone who supported me along the bumpy road of entrepreneurship.
